Teacher Gets Arrested for DUI

This past weekend, Jennifer Lee Napier, a high school teacher was arrested for DUI. WCHS-TV8 reported that Napier, who is 37 years old, was imprisoned about 2 p.m. on Sunday after State Police said they observed her car swerving along Interstate 77 northbound in Kanawha County, West Virginia. 

According to the news source, when Napier was pulled over, police officials said they smelled alcohol coming from her breath. It was then that they gave her three sobriety tests and she failed all of them. The tests revealed that Napier had a blood alcohol content level of .163, which is above the legal limit of .08. Also, Napier had been DUI with a suspended driver’s license.

It was confirmed that Napier is a 12th grade math teacher at George Washington High School. George Aulenbacher, the high school principal, told sources that Napier was not present at school on Monday. She was charged with a DUI and released from jail on a “personal recognizance bond.”
