Mel Gibson Yells At Officers At DUI Stop

Mel Gibson Yells At Officers At DUI Stop

TMZ.com reported that last weekend Mel Gibson yelled at police officers as he passed through a DUI checkpoint on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. It was reported that Gibson and a female passenger passed through the checkpoint, which is on the same road where he was famously busted for DUI in 2006, nearly around 1:00 a.m.

According to sources, police officials asked Gibson if he had drank alcohol. The officers continued to question and asked him to show his driver’s license. Unfortunately, Gibson was not carrying it with him. Gibson was then told to go to a secondary screening spot, and that’s when he got angry. He yelled at officers, “Why are you harassing me?...I have had problems with you Lost Hills [Malibu] deputies in the past.” The officers gave Gibson a warning and he drove away.

Lamar Odom, NBA Player, Hires Robert Shapiro To Fight DUI

Lamar Odom, NBA Player, Hires Robert Shapiro To Fight DUI

News One reported that Lamar Odom, a veteran NBA player and Khloe Kardashian’s husband, hired attorney Robert Shapiro after receiving DUI charges last Friday. Shapiro is well known for taking the lead of the O.J. Simpson murder case in 1995 and for being a good friend of the Kardashian family.

It was stated that Odom was arrested by a San Fernando Valley highway police officer after he pulled him over for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  It was noted that Odom continued to drive in an ” erratically in a serpentine manner”  after various attempts of trying to pull him over. Once he managed to stop the vehicle, the police officer stated that he showed “objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated.”

He was taken to jail and received a $15,000 bond, but was released the next morning. It was said that “the arrest came on the heels of reports that Odom had gone missing for 72 hours after a fight with his wife, Khloe Kardashian.” Sources strongly believe that there was drug use behind all of this, and speculate that Odom will probably plead “no contest” and get probation. Odom might also be required to take an alcohol education course or surrender his driver’s license for twelve months.
