WITNESS: Uh…. I was getting laid!
ATTORNEY: She had three children, right?
WITNESS: Yes.
ATTORNEY: How many were boys?
WITNESS: None.
ATTORNEY: Were there any girls?
WITNESS: Are you shittin’ me? Your Honor, I think I need a different attorney. Can I get a new attorney?
ATTORNEY: How was your first marriage terminated?
WITNESS: By death.
ATTORNEY: And by whose death was it terminated?
WITNESS: Now whose death do you suppose terminated it?
ATTORNEY: Can you describe the individual?
WITNESS: He was about medium height and had a beard.
ATTORNEY: Was this a male or a female?
WITNESS: Guess.
ATTORNEY: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?
WITNESS: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.
ATTORNEY: Doctor, how many of your autopsies have you performed on dead people?
WITNESS: All my autopsies are performed on dead people. Would you like to rephrase that?
ATTORNEY: ALL your responses MUST be oral, OK? What school did you go to?
WITNESS: Oral.
ATTORNEY: Do you recall the time that you examined the body?
WITNESS: The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.
ATTORNEY: And Mr. Denton was dead at the time?
WITNESS: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy on him!

WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for blood pressure?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: Did you check for breathing?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the autopsy?
WITNESS: No.
ATTORNEY: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
WITNESS: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
ATTORNEY: I see, but could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
WITNESS: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law.

Thomas Jane, star of the The Punisher, was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving on Interstate 5 in central California around 2:45 Monday morning. According to the California Highway Patrol, Jane was speeding in his 2008 black Maserati at up to 125 miles per hour. Officers determined the 39-year old actor was driving under the influence in California and booked him into the Kern County jail. A friend drove up from Los Angeles to retrieve Jane and his car.
Jane, whose real name is Thomas Elliot, was charged with driving with a suspended license, having a blood alcohol content over the legal limit, possession of drugs without a prescription and California DUI. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 9.
Jane is married to actress Patricia Arquette, star of Medium. He has appeared in movies such as The Mist, The Crow, FaceOff and Boogie Nights.

After witnesses reported Joe Ray weaving on the road and hitting at least three other vehicles, police met him at his home. The taxi driver failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for driving under the influence in Tennessee. Valerie Ray headed for the McMinn County Justice Center to pick him up but she also was involved in an accident and was also charged with a Tennessee DUI. Both will appear in court on the same day.
Richard Zubowicz and his wife Becky, of Titusville, had been drinking and then got into an argument about who should drive. After pulling into a Publix grocery parking lot, the couple got out of the vehicle and Zubowicz pushed his wife to the ground. He then got back in his Pontiac Aztek and circled the parking lot. When he returned to the area where they had been, he accidently ran over Becky as she lay on the ground. Responding Florida Highway Patrol officers had to use a jack to free her from under the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Richard Zubowicz, 45, was charged with Florida DUI with a serious injury, another count of drinking and driving in Florida and domestic violence.
Tanya Laporte, 33, was involved in an accident and charged with Vermont DUI and drug possession. She called her ex-husband, Michael Laporte, 47, to pick her up at the police station. On the way, he wrecked his car and was charged with drunk driving in Vermont and driving without a valid license.
After a traffic stop for erratic driving, James S. Heath, 59 of Homer, was determined to be driving while intoxicated. His wife Deborah E. Heath, 57, got into the driver

The SXSW music festival held annually in Austin, Texas draws bands and music fans from around the world. The activities start early and go late into the night, with alcohol flowing freely at the club venues.
While most festival attendees plan to rely on safe rides, taxis and designated drivers, the Austin police department is doubling their street patrols looking for motorists suspected of drunk driving in Austin. The city averages 75 Texas DWI arrests on a weekend. The total was slightly higher than average during the first weekend of SXSW activities.
The additional Austin DWI patrols will be in effect through Sunday, the last day of the festival.

State Patrol troopers say a 14-year old girl was driving under the influence in Washington when she wrecked a Dodge minivan. She was thrown from the vehicle as it overturned. Her 32-year old mother was reportedly also heavily intoxicated and passed out in a passenger seat at the time of the accident. Bottles of malt liquor were found in the vehicle. The pair was driving from Auburn, Washington when the accident occurred around 5:30 am Tuesday morning near Snoqualmie on Route 18.
The mother and daughter were taken to a Bellevue hospital. The young girl suffered severe head and spine injuries though they are not considered life threatening. The mother was not seriously injured. Both were described as uncooperative, refusing to divulge their names, ages or what they were doing before the wreck.
