Scott Noble, the King County Assessor, is under investigation for driving under the influence in Washington and vehicular assault. In mid-January around 2:00 am, the 58-year old allegedly caused a head-on collision on Interstate 5 near Auburn by making a u-turn and heading south in the northbound lanes. Noble and the two occupants of the other vehicle were injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Witnesses say that Noble was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic prior to the accident. They then saw him pull over to the right shoulder and make a quick u-turn. Law enforcement arriving at the accident scene advised Noble that he was to be booked on suspicion of DUI in Washington and vehicular assault. On Monday, Charles Barkley pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in Arizona. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, though five of those days will be suspended if Barkley completes an alcohol treatment program. He was also fined more than $2,000. Barkley is scheduled to complete his jail term at a detention center in Lower Buckeye.
Barkley was stopped by police on December 31 for running a red light in Old Town Scottsdale, a popular area with clubs, restaurants and bars. He said he was on his way to meet a woman for oral sex. His blood alcohol content was reportedly .149%, or nearly twice the legal limit for DUI in Arizona. Barkley played for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA and he is currently a television analyst for TNT.

California DUI at McDonald’s – A driver rear-ended the car ahead of her in the drive-thru lane of a Rocklin, California McDonald’s around 10:30 pm. Unfortunately the car that Rosemary Newell hit was a police cruiser. The officer noticed signs of intoxication and arrested Newell for driving under the influence in California. Tony Rock, younger brother of Chris Rock, was arrested for driving under the influence in California early Wednesday morning. California Highway Patrol officers stopped Rock 2:40 am for speeding on the 101 Freeway. Intoxication was suspected, and after failing field sobriety tests, Rock was booked at a Los Angeles jail.
Rock was released after posting a $5000 bond. Shortly after his release, he joked with a reporter about drinking Patron at a party and then trying to see how fast his car would go.
