Charles Barkley Pleads Guilty to Arizona DUI

On Monday, Charles Barkley pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in Arizona. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, though five of those days will be suspended if Barkley completes an alcohol treatment program. He was also fined more than $2,000. Barkley is scheduled to complete his jail term at a detention center in Lower Buckeye.

Barkley was stopped by police on December 31 for running a red light in Old Town Scottsdale, a popular area with clubs, restaurants and bars. He said he was on his way to meet a woman for oral sex. His blood alcohol content was reportedly .149%, or nearly twice the legal limit for DUI in Arizona. Barkley played for the Phoenix Suns in the NBA and he is currently a television analyst for TNT.
