A police officer on patrol in Madison, NJ around 4:15 am early Wednesday morning was checking a parked vehicle near a walking path when a 911 call reported a man lying in the grass nearby. Officer Papamarkos searched the area and found Devin McQuade lying with his face to the ground. When McQuade was determined to be very intoxicated, the officer arrested him for driving while intoxicated in New Jersey and for careless driving.
McQuade, 23, has been released pending a court arraignment.

Former University of Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillespie was arrested for driving under the influence in Kentucky around 2:45 am Thursday morning. Lawrenceburg police stopped Gillespie after being alerted to a white Mercedes with Texas license plates driving erratically. They clocked the vehicle doing 63 mph in a 45 mph zone and then observed the vehicle remain motionless at a traffic light for one to two minutes after it turned green.
