Woman Gets Two DWI Within Two Days

Woman Gets Two DWI Within Two Days

The Daily Record claimed that a woman, Kelly Vasile, was consecutively charged with two DWI within two days. It was stated that Vasile, who is a local from Sparta, New Jersey, received the first DWI on the evening of March 23. Vasile’s blood alcohol content level tests proved she had more than twice the New Jersey’s legal limit. Two days later, on the evening of March 25, legal officers responded to a 911 phone call from a motorist reporting a drunk driver in a red old Volvo. Police officers located the vehicle at a Radio Shack parking lot. As they came near the vehicle, which was illegally parked across two handicap parking spaces, Vasile’s husband (Gheorghe Vasile) got out of the vehicle’s driver’s seat. According to the police report, it was determined that Vasile drove and parked the Volvo in the parking lot. Supposedly, Gheorge Vasile only moved the car to get closer to the store that Vasile went into. Police officers claimed that both had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating form their mouths and they were slurring their words…along with a a red solo cup containing liquor found in the car.

They both failed the field sobriety tests that were administered to them. Consequently, they were put under arrest for DWI and taken to the local police station for more testing. Vasile was  charged with another DWI, careless driving, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and allowing a suspended driver to operate her motor vehicle. Likewise, Gheorge received charges for DWI, driving with a suspended license, illegally parking in a handicap space, negligent driving, and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. It was noted that after a couple of hours, they were released to a sober adult and Vasile’s Volvo was impounded again for a second time.
