West Liberty University Basketball Player Cedric Harris Arrested For DUI

cedric harrisWest Liberty University basketball player Cedric Harris was arrested for DUI on December 6, 2012. According to the Ohio Sheriffs Department, Harris crashed his car into a bridge on North Fork Rd in Ohio County at around 1 in the morning. Harris was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident and no other cars were involved. When police arrived on the scene, they administered a series of field sobriety tests and found that Harris had a blood alcohol content (BAC) level of .13%.

Harris was arrested and taken to the Northern Regional Jail where he was charged with a first offense DUI. After his arrest, the Director of Media Relations at West Liberty University issued a statement saying, “West Liberty University is aware of an off-campus incident with one of its students and we are investigating the matter. We want to respect his student rights under the federal privacy law and have no further comment at this time“.
