Vivica A. Fox Arrested on Suspicion of California DUI

Vivica A. Fox was arrested for suspicion of California DUI after being stopped for speeding on Highway 101-Hollywood Freeway. The 42-year-old actress drove her Cadillac SUV past a patrol car at a speed of 80 mph, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Leland Tang.

The arresting officers said that Fox was also not staying within her lane. She failed a field sobriety test, and a breathalyzer test indicated a blood-alcohol content greater than 0.08, the legal limit in California.

Fox was booked at the Van Nuys Jail late Tuesday night and later released on her own recognizance. A court date for misdemeanor California DUI has not been set.

The film and television actress appeared in ‘Kill Bill: Vol. 1.’ and ‘Independence Day.’ Her role in ‘Soul Food’ earned her MTV Movie Award and NAACP Image Award nominations. She also was a contestant on the third season of ‘Dancing With The Stars.’
