Taxi Driver Arrested For DWI With Passengers In The Car

Taxi Driver Gets DWI With Passengers In The Car

WRGB reported that a taxi driver, Larry Northrop, was DWI with passengers in the car in Ballston Spa, New York. Legal officers responded to a 911 call that they received from Capital Land Taxi dispatcher, claiming that one of their drivers was driving erratic and swerving all over the road. It was reported that the passengers told Northrop to stop the car and let them get out. However, when he refused to do so, they called the taxi company to report the situation. The dispatcher called police officials after Northrop refused to stop the vehicle in response to their radio call. Luckily, police officials were able to spot and pull Northrop over. The police report stated that Northrop showed signs of intoxication and was administered field sobriety tests, all of which he failed. He was arrested for being drunk, high and driving with a suspended license. Northrop was charged with several accounts of DWI, violating traffic laws, and driving with a suspended license. In addition, a representative from Capital Land Taxi claimed that Northrop was fired.
