A young soldier celebrating his return from military deployment had a homecoming party in Tacoma end in an unfortunate way. In two separate incidents, both he and his wife were arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in Washington.
Military police alerted Washington State Patrol to a vehicle making severe lane changes on Interstate 5 early Sunday morning. The responding state trooper stopped the car in front the apartment complex where Adam and Sara King live and determined both were intoxicated.
21-year old Adam King, who is stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, was arrested for WA DUI and his wife was allowed to return to their apartment. After being booked on drunk driving charges at the State Patrol facility in Tacoma, King was escorted outside to be released. The accompanying trooper noticed that Sara King had arrived in a different vehicle to pick up her husband. She was also arrested and charged with DUI in Washington.
