Repeat DUI Offender Arrested For DUI At Home
Repeat DUI offender James Bouchard of Rosemount, Minnesota was arrested for DUI on December 5, 2012 at his own home. Apparently, one of Bouchard’s neighbors called local police around 2:45 am and complained that Bouchard was squealing the tires of his pickup truck and blasting loud music in his driveway. When police arrived, Bouchard tried to run into his house but was caught and handcuffed. Police say that Bouchard displayed several symptoms of alcohol intoxication such as watery, bloodshot eyes, walking unsteadily and had a strong odor of alcohol.
When police took Bouchard into custody, he allegedly began screaming profanities and refused to submit a breathalyzer test. When police returned to Bouchard’s home the next day, they saw tire tracks in the yard, skid marks on the driveway and noticed that the neighbors mailbox had been knocked over with a piece of wire from his truck hanging to it. Bouchard, now 28 years old, is a repeat DUI offender and had already been in a drunk driving accident involving a fatality when he was just 21. On January 28, 2006, Bouchard crashed his car and killed passenger Joshua Ruggles. Bouchard plead guilty to criminal vehicular homicide and was sentenced to 7 years probation, which he violated twice in 2008 and 2009.
