Senior Corporal Billy Ailey with the Dallas Police Department was charged with a Texas DWI over the weekend. It is the second drunk driving in Dallas charge levied against the veteran police officer in the past three months.
Ailey was stopped on a Interstate Highway 30 in Arlington around 3:30 am. He refused to submit to a breath test and the arresting officers got a warrant to take a blood sample.
Ailey is on administrative leave while an investigation into the driving while intoxicated in Texas charges are conducted. He has been with the Dallas Police Department communications division since 1985.
