Minnesota Twins baseball pitcher Francisco Liriano must first submit to tests before being granted a visa to enter the United States and join his team for spring training. The 24-year-old from the Dominican Republic was charged with drunk driving in Florida in 2006. Because of that DUI, the U.S. consulate in Santo Domingo is requiring Liriano to take a sobriety test, in accordance with U.S. law. He must also attend an alcohol awareness counseling session.
