New Texas Law Creates Concern Among Teachers

A Texas law scheduled to go into effect January 1 will require all public school employees to be fingerprinted for a criminal background check. The goal is improve safety in the classroom, though questions have been raised as to whether the firing of school workers for past actions will lead to a shortage of staff.
