Mel Gibson Completes Terms of Probation for Los Angeles DUI

Superior Court Judge Lawrence Mira found Mel Gibson has complied with terms of his probation for his Los Angeles DUI arrest. The actor-director still has 18 months of probation remaining though he no longer has to appear in court for regular progress reports or attend mandatory Alcohol Anonymous meetings.

Gibson was charged with drunk driving in Los Angeles in 2006 during an infamous traffic incident where he made derogatory comments about Jews and sexist remarks to a female police officer. In a no-contest plea agreement reached between his Los Angeles DUI attorney and the prosecutor
