Actress Lindsay Lohan checked herself into Lynwood jail in suburban Los Angeles at 10:30 am to serve a minimum 24-hour sentence. That turned into a total of 84 minutes as she was released at 11:54 am.
Lohan was sentenced to jail as part of a plea bargain stemming from two California DUI incidents earlier in the year. Lohan was initially sentenced to four days in jail though that was reduced to two days after she agreed to perform ten days of community service. She was then given credit for time spent in jail during her July car chase event and drunk driving arrest, leaving her with just a 24-hour sentence.
