John Clark Gable Charged With DUI, Hit And Run

John Clark Gable, the son of great Hollywood star Clark Gable, was charged with DUI as well as hit and run on April 2, 2013 in Malibu, California. Gable was arrested around three in the afternoon on Tuesday after hitting a vehicle around the Malibu Pier then crashing into six more vehicles on the Pacific Coast Highway. Police say no one was injured during the incident, however, John Clark Gable was taken to the hospital afterwards for a blood alcohol test. It is still unclear at the time if Gable submitted any field sobriety tests or what his blood alcohol content (BAC) level was at the time of the incident.

Geno Bahena, a witness to the incident saw Gable stumble out of his vehicle and said, “It took him a few seconds to get out of his truck. And finally, when he got out of his truck — I guess he was in shock or something — he just fell on the floor“. Official records showed that Gable was held on $15,000 bail and released from custody at 11:40 p.m. the same day. John’s son, Clark, also faced criminal charges in 2011 after plead guilty to one felony count of discharging a laser at an aircraft. Clark admitted to flashing a laser at an LAPD helicopter 3 times as it flew above Hollywood Boulevard.
