Jerome Simpson Of Minnesota Vikings Arrested For DUI

jerome simpsonMinnesota Vikings wide-receiver Jerome Simpson was arrested for DWI on November 19, 2013 in Hennepin County. Simpson was arrested just a day after his team beat the Washington Redskins and is currently being held without bail. According to police, Simpson’s stalled Dodge Charger was spotted early Saturday morning by a state trooper, who immediately suspected the Minnesota Vikings star to be intoxicated.

When Simpson exited his vehicle, the trooper noticed signs of intoxication such as slurred speech and watery eyes. The trooper then proceeded to conduct a series of field sobriety tests on Simpson before arresting him for DWI. Simpson was received by the jail at 5:39 and even though his has posted a $12,000 bond, he could remain in jail till Tuesday. Simpson had previously spent 15 days in jail for a felony drug conviction regarding a shipment of marijuana he received at his home and was suspended for 3 games by the NFL. Currently, the Minnesota Vikings have yet to make any comment on Simpson’s DWI arrest.
