High School Principal Gets Charged With DWI

WITN news source reported that a North Carolina high school principal, Randy Millar, was charged with a DWI for driving drunk in a school-owned vehicle. Millar, the principal of Mattamuskeet High School, was charged during the weekend. It was determined that he had a blood alcohol level of .11, which exceeds the North Carolina state limit of .08.

The Highway Patrol stated that Millar, who is 57 years old, was driving a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria “on US 264 E near Swanquarter around 12:45 p.m. Saturday, when he took a curve too fast, crossed the center line, over-corrected and crashed into an utility pole before coming to rest in grassy area, near a pond.”  Legal officials disclosed that the vehicle was property of the Hyde County School Board. Millar is summoned to a court hearing on March 6. No further information or details regarding Millar’s case were released.
