Governor Gives Counties Money to Fight Alabama DUI

Governor Bob Riley has approved grants totaling over $73,000 to help the city of Montgomery and eight central Alabama counties reduce the number of fatal accidents. The money will help pay for increased highway patrols over the Memorial Day weekend that will look for drunk driving in Alabama, speeding and seat belt violations.

In addition to the city of Montgomery, the money will be distributed to Macon, Russell, Autauga, Lowndes, Lee, Bullock, Elmore and Montgomery county law enforcement agencies.

If you have been charged with drunk driving in Alabama you will need to hire a Alabama DUI lawyer.
