DWI Suspect Crashes Into 2 Texas Officers

Two police officers in Carrollton, Texas were injured after a suspected drunk driver crashed into their patrol unit while they were arresting another DWI suspect on January 20, 2013. The accident occurred around 6 a.m. near the President George Bush Turnpike on I-35. The 2 officers had apparently just arrested a DWI suspect and were sitting in one of the two cruisers with the suspect when another driver rear ended them.

According to police, both officers had just received a call from dispatch about a possible drunk driver in a black sedan driving northbound on I-35 when that same driver crashed into them just seconds later. Both the officers and DWI suspects, whose identities have not been released, were taken to nearby hospitals and treated for injuries. It has been reported that no one involved sustained life threatening injuries and that the 2 suspects will face DWI charges.
