Drunk Woman Trips on Ice and Gets Injured

Drunk Woman Trips on Ice and Gets Injured

A Florida news source reported that a suspected drunk woman “was driving while intoxicated ended up going to the hospital early Friday morning when police say she resisted being handcuffed and fell on some ice.” Florida police officials from Dayton stopped the drunk woman after they saw her “driving erratically.” The drunk woman drove away after she had been “stuck on a concrete parking divider in the lot of Sammy’s Food Mart on South Smithville Road.”

The police report stated that the woman carried a heavy alcohol scent, resisted the arrest, and tried to get away from the officers. It also stated that “she reportedly slipped on some ice and snow and fell, hitting her face and breaking her tooth.” She later told legal officials that she “should never have been driving.” She was taken to the Miami Valley Hospital, where she was treated and given a summons for a court hearing. Officials stated that it is highly likely that she will be charged with an OVI or DUI.
