Colorado DUI Suspect Lied About Dying Son

An Eagle County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a Utah man on Interstate 70 Wednesday after numerous motorists called 911 to report a reckless driver. Eric Rapasy was pulled over around 7:00 pm after allegedly speeding, passing traffic on the right, cutting off other drivers and swerving.

Repasy told the deputy that he was hurrying to the hospital so see his dying son. The deputy, however, determined the story to be a lie. Repasy, 47, was charged with reckless driving, speeding and driving under the influence in Colorado. He was booked at the Eagle County jail, where he spent the night before posting $1000 bond.
