Christian Singer Pleads Guilty To Tennessee DUI

Christian music singer and songwriter Gary Chapman entered a guilty plea in a Nashville courtroom to charges of Tennessee DUI and drug possession. He was sentenced to one year of probation, had his driver’s license suspended and was ordered to attend an alcohol eduication program.

Chapman was stopped for speeding last September, and police administered a field sobriety test after detecting alcohol. He was charged with drunk driving after his blood alcohol content registered twice the legal limit. Police also found a small amount of marijuana and a pipe.

Chapman was once married to singer Amy Grant.
