Former basketball player Charles Barkley was charged with suspicion of drunk driving in Scottsdale Arizona early Wednesday morning. An Arizona DUI task force officer spotted Barkley running a stop sign around 1:30 am. Barkley refused to submit to a breath test though a blood sample was taken at a mobile command center to test for blood alcohol content. The results are not immediately available.
Barkley was booked for driving under the influence in Arizona. He was released and he left in a cab.
