Buffalo Man Gets Snowplow DWI

snow plowIt’s not uncommon for someone to receive a DWI while driving a lawn mower or golf cart during the warm seasons of the year, however, one man in Buffalo, New York was recently given a snowplow DWI. 47-year-old James Evans was driving a city snowplow truck when he allegedly struck a building at around 5 a.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2013. Authorities also said that Evans struck a cab not long after hitting the building.

According to police, Evans was found later at his home where police charged him with criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an injury accident in addition to the snowplow DWI. Apparently, the driver in the cab that Evans struck was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. It is unclear if Evans performed any field sobriety tests or what his blood alcohol content (BAC) level was when police arrested him. City officials have stated that Evans has been suspended without pay following the incident.
