Billionaire Polo Mogul Charged With Florida DUI

Billionaire John Goodman has been charged with driving under the influence in Florida and manslaughter following an accident that claimed the life of another driver. The founder of the Polo Club of Palm Beach was driving his Bentley in the early hours of February 12 when he struck a Hyandai driven by Scott Wilson. Wilson’s vehicle ended up in a canal and he drowned.

Goodman arrived at the Palm Beach County Jail around 6:00 am on May 19, after an arrest warrant was issued the day before. His bond was set at $100,000.

Goodman was charged with DUI in FL causing death, manslaughter and failure to render aid. The victim’s family has filed a civil suit against Goodman for wrongful death.
