Jason Kidd Appears In Court For DWI

Jason Kidd, one of the NBA’s most popular players appeared in court on Wednesday September 12, 2012 for a DWI he received earlier this year. On July 15, 2012 Kidd headed home from a party at the SL East Club in the Hampton’s near his home when he crashed into a telephone pole, splitting it in half. When officers arrived, they noticed that Kidd had displayed symptoms of intoxication such as slurred speech and an odor of alcohol. When authorities asked what happened, Kidd admitted to having a few drinks earlier that night but said he didn’t remember what happened or how he crashed into the pole.

Hope everyone is having a good day“. On the night of Kidd’s arrest, he refused to submit a blood or breath test, however, police believe that he had been drinking a large amount of vodka before leaving the club that night. Jason Kidd is set to start with the New York Knicks on November 1 after being traded to the team following his success with the Dallas Mavericks. Kidd’s defense lawyer Edward Burke Jr., reassured members of the press that his client was sorry for his actions and ready to move on saying, “He is again taking this very, very seriously” and “He’s been very, very much in tune and he’s ready for his season“.
