Thermal Imaging Finds Illinois DUI Suspect

Sheriff’s deputies in Will County Illinois resorted to use of a thermal imaging camera to locate a suspected drunk driver hiding in a cornfield. Thomas Hanton was involved in an accident and he kicked a deputy in the leg and stomach before fleeing into the field in Homer Glen, a suburb of Chicago.
Hanton, 23, was booked for driving under the influence in Illinois, failure to reduce speed, running a stop sign, aggravated battery of a police officer and resisting arrest.
The special camera was from the Homer Township Fire Protection District.
