        <![CDATA[<p><b>Police use taser on naked California DUI suspect</b> – Santa Ana police pulled over a man suspected of driving under the influence in California after he struck another car. When the driver refused to put up his hands the police hit him with a stun gun. When the officers moved in for an arrest, they found the man completely naked. The man was taken for drug and alcohol testing.</p>

<p><b>Naked motorcyclist arrested for Florida DUI</b> – Police followed Dante Kraus early on a Tuesday morning riding down Interstate 75 on his motorcycle completely naked. They finally pulled him over after the 45-year ran exited the highway and ran a red light. Kraus said that he had been drinking a Hooter's restaurant and did not know how he lost his clothes. He was arrested for his fifth suspected DUI in FL.</p>

<p><b>Indiana DUI suspect sues after police forced catheter into him</b> – An Indiana man stopped for suspicion of impaired driving is suing the police in Lawrenceburg after they forced a catheter into his penis to get a urine sample. Jamie Lockard was stopped for running a stop sign and police conducted a breath test to test for blood alcohol content. The police then obtained a search warrant and took Lockard to a hospital for blood and urine samples. When Lockard said he couldn't provide a urine sample and refused to drink any liquid, the police forcibly held him down and inserted the catheter. In a complaint filed in federal court, Lockard is seeking an unspecified amount of damages and a jury trial.</p>

<p><b>Nude knocker held on California DUI</b> - Peter Allen Steele is accused of ringing people's doorbells while naked. He was apprehended by San Mateo sheriff's deputies after streaking through a Redwood City home and into the woods. It took a taser and two shots from a bean bag gun to bring down the 6'7", 250 pound suspect. Steele was charged with drunk driving in California, indecent exposure, evading police officers and entering a house without permission.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Lawnmower and an Illinois DUI</b> – Dennis Cretton of Belleville in southwest Illinois had his driver's license revoked for a drunk driving conviction. He though he could get around the situation by taking his yellow riding mower for a drunken spin to a local gas station for beer. He reportedly weaved through traffic and later tried to evade police while cans of Milwaukee's Best beer were spilling out of a 12-pack. Cretton, 49, was arrested for felony aggravated DUI in Illinois.</p>

<p><b>Lawnmower and a New York DWI</b> – Randy M. Elliot of Conklin was stopped by police for drinking beer while operating a lawn mower on a public roadway. After registering a blood alcohol content of .28, three and a half times the legal limit, the 47-year old was charged with driving while intoxicated in NY.</p>

<p><b>Ambulance and Texas DWI</b> – Lawrence Eugene Reyes Jr. of Richards took off with an ambulance while paramedics were attending to a patient inside a Bryan hospital. The 25-year old abandoned the ambulance, undamaged, a few miles away and he was apprehended a few hours later. He was booked in the Brazos County jail for public intoxication, theft and evading arrest. Charges of driving while intoxicated in Texas are being considered.</p>

<p><b>Backhoe and Ohio DUI</b> – Robert Tite was charged with Ohio DUI a few months ago for driving a bulldozer through his neighbors yard. The 57-year old was stopped again for operating a piece of heavy equipment while intoxicated, this time for driving a backhoe into town. He rolled through a stop sign before pulling up in front of a business in the center of Wakeman. Tite, who appeared confused at the time of arrest, failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test. He was booked at the Huron County jail for operating a motorized vehicle while intoxicated.</p>]]>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Two Pennsylvania DUI Arrests in 5 Hours</b> – An unidentified 50-year man was charged with driving under the influence in Lancaster Pennsylvania after causing a minor accident shortly before 11:00 am on a Sunday. He was booked and release to his girlfriend. Just before 4:00 pm he was arrested again for drunk driving after causing a second accident. He was sent to Lancaster County Prison after the second offense.</p>

<p><b>Two Maryland DUI Arrests in 5 Hours</b> – Jennifer Bowlin was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving in Delaware around 2:15 am after swerving and failing to stop at a stop sign. Five hours after her release the 20-year old seen driving again in Ocean City. Maryland DUI law prohibits a motorist from driving within 12 hours of an arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked for second offense MD DUI and held on $25,000 bond.</p>

<p><b>Two California DUI Arrests in 5 Days</b> – Witnesses helped California police nab a drunk driver twice in five days. A man filling his gas tank saw Jeffery Kaiserman, 60, pull into the gas station and was barely able to stand while exiting his vehicle. A Petaluma motorcycle officer responded to the scene and made an arrest for driving under the influence in California. Five days later a man called 911 after Kaiserman sideswiped his parked vehicle. The man pursued Kaiserman, observing him strike the curb five times and nearly hit two more parked cars. Kaiserman pulled into the parking lot of the Lucky’s store where he was arrested for CA drunk driving and booked at the Sonoma County Jail.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Naked Driver Charged with Florida DUI</b> – Police approached a truck parked on the shoulder of the road because it was partially blocking traffic and they discovered the driver, Dearry Smiley, was naked. Smiley asked the officer, "What's wrong with a man driving home naked? It's not against the law." The arrest report clarified that the 58-year old from DeFuniak Springs wasn't actually naked because he was wearing a hat, sandals and sunglasses. He was, however, considered to be driving under the influence in FL and was arrested. A female passenger, who was clothed, was charged with felony battery after hitting a deputy with her fist as he tried to remove her from the vehicle.</p>

<p><b>Nearly Naked Driver Charged with Maryland DWI</b> – Police stopped Jonathan Schultz for speeding and discovered he was "driving commando". The 41-year old from Delaware was wearing a shirt and had a towel partially covering his lap. He claimed he had lost his pants and the deputy found none in the vehicle. Schultz was charged with driving while intoxicated in MD.</p>

<p><b>Heavy Equipment and an Ohio DUI</b> – Robert Tite was arrested for drunk driving in Ohio while operating a bulldozer. He had driven the heavy equipment onto a neighbor's property and uprooted trees while creating a swath of destruction. The 57-year old Huron County man was also charged with criminal damage and resisting arrest.</p>

<p><b>Heavy Equipment and Drunk Driving Arrest in Germany</b> – After his girlfriend reportedly left him at a nightclub, a 23-year German man decided to steal a large tractor to drive himself home. He lead police on a slow chase for over 40 minutes, resisting officers holding stop signs and pepper spray shot through an open window. The tires proved too thick for stop strips and police finally resorted to shooting out the tires after the man rammed a police car and another vehicle. He was immediately arrested for drunk driving and several other violations.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Missouri DWI suspect steals ambulance</b> – An unidentified man was stopped for suspicion of driving while intoxicated in Missouri, and taken to a local hospital for a blood draw to test his BAC. While waiting at the hospital around 11:00 pm, the man stole the ambulance and led police on a chase. After stop sticks were deployed, the man crashed the vehicle into a light pole. The suspect was bitten by a police dog and then taken into custody for a second time.</p>

<p><b>Beer on car leads to Vermont DUI</b> – John Campbell pulled up next to a state police cruiser at an intersection, and when the trooper looked over at Campbell's car he saw a nearly full glass of beer sitting on the trunk. Campbell, 59, registered a blood alcohol content of ,125% and he was charged with driving under the influence in Vermont.</p>

<p><b>Driver from 'Alpha Omega' charged with Utah DUI</b> – An unidentified 30-year old man was stopped for suspicion of driving under the influence in Salt Lake City Utah. The driver told police that he was "from the planet Alpha Omega" and that he had "started getting (his) binge on." Documents showed him to be from Salt Lake City and he was arrested for felony DUI in Utah.</p>

<p><b>Skateboarder investigated for Colorado DUI after hitting squad car</b> – Manuel Griego streaked down a steep hill in Pueblo Colorado on his skateboard and ran a red light at a busy multi-lane intersection. He narrowly missed one car before striking a patrol car and leaving a sizeable dent. The moving police cruiser ran over the 24-year old's ankle causing serious injury. Griego was processed for intoxication. In 2004, Griego served a deferred sentence for drunk driving, careless driving and underage drinking.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>One Night, Two Vermont DUI Arrests</b> – Raven Hoague, 26, was stopped for erratic driving and was charged with driving under the influence in Vermont. She was cited and released to friends. Hoague apparently got into a fight with her friends and she went back to her vehicle and drove again. She was arrested again and charged with her second VT DUI.</p>

<p><b>One Night, Two New York DWI Arrests</b> – Joseph S. Kelley was charged with driving while intoxicated in New York after stopping at a local state police headquarters to ask for directions. His blood alcohol content was reportedly more than twice the legal limit for intoxication. Kelley was sent to a hotel to sleep off the alcohol, but he made the taxi driver stop at an ATM and then ran back to the police parking lot and took his SUV. He was stopped a second time in a nearby town and charged again for NY DWI.</p>

<p><b>One Night, Two Minnesota DWI Arrests</b> – Police responded to a disturbance call just before 12:30 am. Raquel DeVito, who had left the scene but returned while the police were there, was investigated and charged with driving while intoxicated in Minnesota. She was released around 2:30 am but was observed driving again, in the scene of the original disturbance, at 3:17 am. DeVito was arrested again and placed in the Blue Earth County Jail.</p>

<p><b>One Night, Two Pennsylvania DUI</b> – Curtis Maxwell, 56, was stopped for making an illegal u-turn and was eventually charged with suspicion of driving under the influence in Pennsylvania. Just hours later Maxwell was involved in an accident on the same road, near the same spot as the earlier arrest, earning him a second charge of DUI in PA.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Missing tire and DUI in Illinois</b> – Robert S. Rogers, from Tennessee, crossed the center-line of a highway and sideswiped another vehicle in Naperville Illinois, resulting in a flat tire. He drove on however, creating a cascade of sparks from his tire rim. He continued for more than a mile before pulling into the Stardust Motel. Police followed directions from the eyewitness and found Rogers soon after. Rogers was charged with driving under the influence in Illinois, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving without insurance, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.</p>

<p><b>Missing tire and DUI in California</b> – An unidentified man was charged with drunk driving in California after he crashed into a guardrail and kept driving on just three tires. Sparks from the fourth rim started 20 small fires along a two mile path, burning a total of six acres, before the California Highway Patrol could apprehend the suspect.</p>

<p><b>Oklahoma DUI defendant arrives at court drunk</b> – James Lee appeared at a Claremore court for his case of driving under the influence in Oklahoma, but he was so drunk that he was taken to a hospital instead. His blood alcohol content was nearly four times the legal limit. Police plan on adding charges of public intoxication to his arrest record.</p>

<p><b>Georgia DUI defendant arrives at court drunk</b> – An unidentified 28-year old woman appeared at her court date for driving under the influence in GA. During a routine security check however, a Milton court bailiff detected alcohol and the woman was promptly held in contempt of court charge and sentenced to two days in jail.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Two Pennsylvania DUI Arrests in 3 hours</b> – David Michael Craig, 26, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs in PA and possession of controlled substances following a traffic stop around 8:30 pm. An investigation showed that Craig had been given a prescription for 90 muscle relaxers five days earlier but there were only three pills left in the bottle at the time of his arrest. 10 buprenorphine tablets, used to treat opiate withdrawl, were also found, with no prescription. He was taken home to the custody of his mother and told the charges would be mailed to him. Craig however showed up at the police station at 11:15 pm looking for the drugs that had been taken from his car. Upon leaving the station and he was seen driving off, causing police to pursue him. Craig continued driving until he reached his residence, where he was re-arrested for PA DUI, and charged with fleeing police and resisting arrest.</p>

<p><b>Two Connecticut DUI Arrests in 3 hours</b> – Elsa Veisor, 29, was arrested for CT DUI around 1:00 am with a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit. Her driver’s license was confiscated and she was released on bond after stating that a ride from a friend had been arranged. But just before 4:00 am Veisor was stopped again, about half a mile from where her car had been parked. She was charged with a second offense for driving under the influence in Connecticut and for driving with a suspended license.</p>

<p><b>Two Pennsylvania DUI Arrests in 2 hours</b> – Ralph Deringer, 54, was stopped at 11:49 for erratic driving, arrested for drunk driving in Pennsylvania and taken to the Carlisle Booking Center. According to township policy, DUI offenders are generally not held after booking and are released to a sober party or have a taxi ride arranged. Shortly before 2:00 am an officer was still at the scene of the traffic stop finishing his report on the DUI arrest when a taxi-cab pulled up. Deringer got out, walked to his vehicle and proceeded to start the car and drive off. After a brief chase, police apprehended Deringer and charged him with a second PA DUI.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Four men, a turtle and Florida DUI</b> – Brevard County deputies became suspicious of a pick-up truck swerving on the beach and initiated a traffic stop. The driver instead fled the beach and accelerated to over 90 mph while the occupants threw beer cans out the windows. A pursuing sheriff's office cruiser blew out a tire and the deputy crashed into a ditch. When finally stopped, police found a soft shell turtle, which are protected and off limits during a three-month period, in the back of the truck bed. The driver, Brandon Kincaid, was charged with driving under the influence in Florida, reckless driving, eluding authorities and possession of a soft-shell turtle in the off-season.</p>

<p><b>A flipped car, a stolen tractor and Indiana DUI</b> – Kevin Michael Whitesell of Terre Haute flipped his car on a rural road. He walked two miles to a farmhouse, stole a tractor and returned to the crash site in an attempt to tow his car before anyone noticed. While dragging his car across a bridge, Whitesell lost control and both vehicles ended up in a creek. The second accident caused more than $150,000 in damage to the tractor and the bridge. Whitesell was charged with drunk driving in Indiana, leaving the scene of a crash, theft and multiple other charges for damages.</p>

<p><b>Endless driving in a circle and Utah DUI</b> – An unidentified woman was charged with driving under the influence in West Jordan, UT after attempting to make a simple u-turn. According to police, she “never quite came out of it.” She continued to drive in an endless circle in the middle of the road before finally steering out of the turn and hitting a tree. </p>

<p><b>A car in a swimming pool and California DUI</b> – Yvonne Campbell was driving erratically on Interstate 80 in Concord when she lost control of her Acura TL. She flew off the highway, slid down an embankment, crashed through a highway perimeter fence, smashed through a wooden fence, rolled across a yard and ended up in a swimming pool. Responding rescue workers had to dive into the pool to save Campbell, who showed no signs of life. After being resuscitated, Campbell was transported to a local hospital and later charged with CA DUI.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Three items and one Nevada DUI</b> – Anthony Lacerra refused to pull his motorhome over after striking two other vehicles. At one point he indicated that he was going to pull into a parking lot but continued on and struck a power pole. After he was eventually stopped, Lacerra claimed he was not driving, because his license had been suspended. Multiple witnesses confirmed he had been driving however and he was arrested for third-offense driving under the influence in NV. He was also charged with failure to maintain travel lane, hit and run, driving on a revoked drivers license, driving with expired registration and driving without insurance.</p>

<p><b>Six items and one Missouri DWI</b> – In the space of one block, a drunk driver in Springfield, Missouri hit two vehicles, two trailers, a house and finally a pole. The suspect tried to run but police quickly found him and charged him with driving while intoxicated in MO.</p>

<p><b>Seven items and one New York DWI</b> – Robert Prentice of Newfane hit a guard rail, a sailboat display, another vehicle and two trees. He then swerved onto a lawn and struck a house. Not deterred, Prentice drove off on three wheels and hit a sign before reaching his house. Responding police arrested Prentice for drunk driving in NY while he was trying to put his key in his front door.</p>

<p><b>Ten items and one New Jersey DWI</b> – Police responding to an accident scene found that a motorist had struck four parked cars, three parking signs, a picket fence and finally two more parked cars. Witnesses were able to point to Timothy Kelly and his gold Ford Taurus as the single source of the damage. Kelly was charged with driving while intoxicated in New Jersey and failure to have valid insurance.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>One car, two California DUI arrests</b> – A Merced resident alerted police to a vehicle that had hit a concrete fence shortly after noon and was fleeing the scene riding on three flat tires. Responding police stopped the vehicle and questioned the driver, Sean Guevara. He admitted to having switched places with Nikki Munoz, who was driving at the time of the accident. Both were booked on suspicion of driving under the influence in California.</p>

<p><b>One car, two New York DWI arrests</b> – Last winter, Lockport police investigating an accident found Christine L. Harris walking on the street and her car stuck in a snowbank. She was combative and denied driving at the time of the accident. While she was being booked for drunk driving in NY, her passenger, Paul E. Schuster, tried to maneuver the car into a driveway and became stuck. He too was charged with driving while intoxicated in New York.</p>

<p><b>One car, another two New York DWI arrests</b> – New York State Police charged Aaron M. Stiles with DWI in New York after backing onto a road immediately in front of a patrol vehicle. Stiles reportedly had a blood alcohol level about twice the legal limit when he was ticketed. During the on-scene investigation, police learned that passenger Jeffrey J. Hutchins had been operating the vehicle before the two had switched places, because Hutchins was driving the wrong way home. Hutchins was charged with aggravated NY DWI for having a BAC of .22%.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Connecticut DUI and a light pole on top of car</b> – Edward Crouse, 49, struck a utility pole and, when asked by a witness if he was ok, waved and said he was fine and then drove off with the pole on top of his car. The pole fell off shortly after, though responding Farmington police were able to locate Crouse because his rear bumper was hanging off the vehicle and making a loud dragging noise. The rear window was broken out too. Crouse's BAC was twice the legal limit and he failed a field sobriety test. He was charged with drunk driving in Connecticut and evading responsibility.</p>


<p><b>Nevada DUI and a fuel hose sticking out of gas tank</b> – An unidentified 40-year old Reno woman was stopped by the Nevada Highway Patrol after an ambulance crew spotted her driving down the road with six feet of fuel hose and the nozzle sticking out of her gas tank. The woman failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for driving under the influence in Nevada. Investigators were still trying to find the service station missing a hose and nozzle.</p>


<p><b>New Hampshire DWI and a dragged fire hydrant</b> – Jeremy Aron, 33, was found guilty of driving under the influence in NH after an unusual incident. Aron struck a fire hydrant and drove off, dragging it under his vehicle. An off-duty Portsmouth police officer witnessed Aron drive by with damage to the vehicle, a deployed air bag and sparks coming from the undercarriage. After Aron pulled into a parking lot, the officer requested uniformed officer back-up. In addition to a NH DUI conviction being placed on his record, Aron was fined and his license was suspended for 90 days.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Trail of oil leads to California DUI suspect</b> – Police in Sacramento responded to a report of a vehicle smashing into a pole around 2:00 am. The vehicle had fled the scene but left a trail of dripping oil. The officers followed the trail and soon located a damaged SUV at a nearby home. The driver was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence in California.</p>

<p><b>Man fakes his own death to avoid New Mexico DWI</b> – Byron Shane Carpenter, from Capitan, was facing prison sentence for vehicular homicide and two separate NM DWI charges. Then his obituary appeared in the Albuquerque paper, citing the death of a loving father and husband in an auto accident. A tip, however, lead U.S. Marshals to Carpenter hiding at a friend's house, and he was taken into custody. In addition to new charges against Carpenter, those involved with the fugitive felon's escape will be facing arrest.</p>

<p><b>Unknown vehicle in driveway leads to Minnesota DWI</b> – A homeowner did not recognize the car found parked in the yard next to his house early one morning, so he called the police. Officers discovered Joseph Donald Shoeberl, 32, asleep in the vehicle and made several efforts to wake him. When finally roused and asked if he knew where he was, Shoeberl answered "in southern Minnesota." In fact, he was about 130 miles northwest of the Minneapolis. Shoeberl's blood alcohol content at 7:17 am registered .16% or twice the legal limit. He was charged with driving while intoxicated in MN.</p>

<p><b>Wedding night in jail after Texas DWI</b> – Jade Puckett, 26, described her wedding night as humiliating and her greatest nightmare after her new husband, Billy, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Houston, Texas. The two had just left their wedding reception when they were targeted by a Harris County sweep for drunk drivers. Billy was charged with TX DWI and Jade was charged with public intoxication when she became belligerent. Jade filed a complaint saying that male deputes seemed to take pleasure from her demise as they repeatedly came to see her in the holding cell, still in her wedding dress. The complaint also covered a photo taken of her in her dress in the courtroom. She entered a guilty plea to public intoxication and was released for time served. Her husband pleaded no contest to DWI and was given a year's probation, fined $300 fine and ordered to perform community service.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Riding Horseback While Intoxicated in Colorado</b> – Police pulled over Brian Drone of Arvada in a strip mall parking lot for riding his horse while under the influence. The officers had responded to calls about a cowboy who wasn’t able to stay in the saddle. After issuing a Class B traffic violation, police realized that, unlike a DUI arrest and vehicle, they could not 'tow' the horse. A local stable owner offered to give Drone and his horse 'Cricket' a ride home.</p>

<p><b>Georgia DUI on Horseback</b> – Gregory Scott Cooley and Jeffery Ray Owen were busted for drunk riding by Tunnel Hill police. The two had drunk beer while watching a NASCAR race and then proceeded to jump on two horses owned by Cooley. Though they were only a few feet from one of their yards, police ordered them to dismount. The officer showed no leniency when issuing charges of 'driving' under the influence.</p>

<p><b>Minnesota DWI While on a Lawnmower</b> – Darwin L. Christensen, 42, decided to ride his riding lawn mower to the store for beer and ended up zig-zagging along city streets and running over orange traffic cones. He was observed stopping to relieve himself in public, after which he tossed his beer can into a ditch. Police responding to complaints, found Christensen stumbling and slurring his speech. He registered a blood alcohol content of .21, over two and a half times the legal limit. Christensen has four prior convictions for drunken driving in Minnesota.</p>

<p><b>Texas DWI on a Steamroller</b> – A Pflugerville police officer spotted Ronald Howell weaving down the road around 4:00 in the morning, on a Dynapac Vibrator Roller. Howell told the officer that he had been walking home from a night club when he decided to take the construction equipment because it was cold outside. He was failed a series of field sobriety tests and booked on charges of driving while intoxicated in Texas, along with felony theft and driving without a license.</p>

        <![CDATA[<p><b>Woman bares chest during Florida DUI stop</b> – A deputy responding to a report of a reckless driver found a black Mercedes stopped at an intersection. As he got out of his cruiser, the driver of the Mercedes put the car in reverse. Despite shouts to stop, the car hit the front bumper of the cruiser. The driver, Tina Lopez, 49, stepped out of her car, grabbing the arm of the deputy to keep her balance. She failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of drunk driving in Florida. While waiting for police back-up to arrive on the scene, Lopez "felt it necessary" to expose her breasts. She was still booked for FL DUI and DUI with property damage.</p>

<p><b>Nude couple stopped for Nebraska DUI</b> – Around 6:00 pm on a Saturday, a caller contacted a State Patrol dispatcher to warn them of a reckless driver on Interstate 80, adding that the male and female in the car appeared to be naked. Troopers were able to locate the vehicle and its naked 26-year-old male driver and his naked 26-year female passenger. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence in Nebraska and driving with a suspended license. The female was released.</p>

<p><b>Man arrested for indecent exposure and Iowa DUI</b> – Around 1:45 am, Donald Lyle Clark, 39, was booked on charges of driving under the influence in Johnson County, Iowa. Less than two hours later he was charged with indecent exposure. He was discovered performing a sex act while in jail, in view of others. The second charge was filed as a serious misdemeanor.</p>
