Shia LeBoeuf's DUI Charges
Shia LaBeouf Loses License in Relation to California DUI
Actor had charges of drunk driving in Los Angeles dropped, but he still loses license for a year.
Shia LaBeouf has had his driver’s license suspended stemming from an accident and a case of suspected drunk driving in Los Angeles, California. LaBeouf was involved in a two vehicle accident in West Hollywood last July. While he was initially arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, the LA County Sheriff’s Department later said there was insufficient evidence to press charges.
At the time of the accident, the ‘Transformers’ star refused to submit to a breath test to check for blood alcohol content. Even though he was cleared of CA DUI charges, that refusal was used by the Department of Motor Vehicles to automatically suspend LeBeouf’s license. California DUI law states that a person’s license shall be suspended for up to one year when he/she refuses to submit to a chemical test (blood, breath or urine) when drunk driving is suspected.
It was later determined that the other motorist ran a red light and struck LeBeouf’s Ford pick-up truck while he was making a left turn. LeBeouf, 22, had his hand crushed in the accident and has had two surgeries since the July 27 accident.

Shia LeBeouf Not Charged with California DUI
Actor was involved in accident and suspected of drunk driving in Los Angeles.
Citing ‘insufficient evidence’, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office said charges of driving under the influence in LA will not be filed against Shia LeBeouf.
LeBeouf was involved in an early morning accident in West Hollywood on July 27. His truck was flipped and he suffered severe injuries to his hand. Though initially arrested for suspicion of drunken driving in LA, Sheriff’s deputies later determined LeBoeuf was not at fault. Prosecutors are considering charges against the two in the other vehicle, who reportedly ran a red light.
Despite that decision not to file charges, the actor faces a 9-month suspension of his driver’s license because he refused to submit to a breath test. A License Administrative Hearing with the Department of Motor Vehicles is pending.
LeBoeuf, 22, starred in ‘Transformers’ and was in production for that movie’s sequel at the time of the accident.

'Indiana Jones' Star Shia LeBoeuf Arrested for California DUI in Los Angeles
Shia LeBoeuf DUI: Actor charged with drunk driving in LA after wreck.
Shia LeBoeuf was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles after a 3:00 am accident. The 22-year old actor in the latest installment of the Indiana Jones series reportedly was trying to make a left hand turn on La Brea Avenue in West Hollywood when he struck another vehicle and rolled his truck.
Officers from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said LeBoeuf was clearly intoxicated. After being taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment for injuries to his left hand and knee, as well a minor head injury, LeBoeuf was charged with misdemeanor DUI in LA.
A female passenger in LeBoeuf's truck was not seriously injured, nor was the driver of the vehicle he struck.
LeBoeuf starred in 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull', as well as last year's blockbuster 'The Transformers'.
LeBoeuf was involved in a drunken confrontation at a Walgreen's store in Chicago last year that led to a misdemeanor criminal trespass charge. The charges were eventually dropped because the store manager did not wish to pursue the case. Police described LeBouef as "very courteous and polite" during that arrest.
