Paris Hilton DUI Update
Updated information on Paris Hilton's DUI arrest
field sobriety test.
Hilton is to be arraigned tomorrow, September 28, though the 25 year-old actress is not required to appear in court for the DUI arrest. Los Angeles city spokesperson, Nick Velasquez, said, "The charges are consistent with California law and the circumstances of this case." A plea bargain is expected.
Hilton could receive a $1,000 fine and spend six months in jail. It is more common however for first time California DUI offenders to be fined, placed on probation and be required to enroll in an alcohol education program.
Paris Hilton had been at a charity party and was said to be making a late night burger run when she was arrested for DUI. Hilton denies driving drunk though she conceded that she may have been speeding "a little bit".
