Mischa Barton Formally Charged with California Drunk Driving in LA
Mischa Barton DUI: Actress hit with four charges stemming from arrest for California DUI.
Mischa Barton was formally charged with four misdemeanors related to a California DUI arrest late last year. The offenses include driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with a blood-alcohol content above the legal limit of .08%, driving without a license and possession of marijuana.
The former star of ‘The OC’ was arrested December 27th on suspicion of drinking and driving in LA after being spotted straddling two lanes of traffic and not signaling a turn.
Her California DUI lawyer indicated that he was pleased that Barton had only been charged with misdemeanor offenses. Barton is scheduled to be arraigned in Beverly Hills Superior Court on Thursday, February 28.
Barton played the character of Marissa Cooper on ‘The OC’ for four seasons. She has also appeared in the movie ‘The Sixth Sense’.
