Heather Locklear's California DUI Dismissed
Actress Heather Locklear pleads to lesser offense of reckless driviing and receives probation.
Heather Locklear entered a plea of no contest to misdemeanor reckless driving and, in exchange, had her case of driving under the influence of drugs dismissed. Locklear was not in the Santa Barbara court on Friday morning when her California defense attorney accepted a plea bargain that calls for the actress to serve three years of probation, pay a $700 fine and complete a 12-hour drug education program.
Last September the 47-year old Locklear was charged with California DUI in Montecito after a 911 call alerted police to her erratic driving. She was determined to be impaired by prescription drugs. A blood test confirmed no presence of alcohol or illegal narcotics.

Heather Locklear Formally Charged with California DUI
Actress was arrested in September for suspicion of driving under the influence in Santa Barbara.
The Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office has filed a formal complaint against Heather Locklear, alleging that she was driving under the influence of a prescription drug.
Locklear was arrested on September 27 in Montecito after a paparazzo called to 911 about erratic driving. The caller later photographed Locklear's California DUI arrest. According to the arresting officer with the California Highway Patrol, Locklear was obstructing a traffic lane and appeared disoriented. While alcohol was ruled out, the actress failed a field sobriety test and drugs were suspected.
She was booked on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of drugs and being under the influence of a controlled substance. No alcohol or illegal narcotics were present in her blood test and the latter charge was dropped, though prescription medications were discovered. The filing of formal charges was delayed while waiting for a full investigation and the results of a toxicology test. Locklear will be formally arraigned January 26, 2009.
Locklear, 47, appeared on many television shows, including 'Dynasty', 'Melrose Place' and 'TJ Hooker'.

Heather Locklear’s Case of California DUI Continues in Santa Barbara
Prosecution has not yet filed charges on Heather Locklear in incident of suspected DUI in Santa Barbara area.
The Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office has indicated that the investigation into the California DUI arrest of Heather Locklear is on-going. While a spokesperson stated the investigation is nearly complete, no date was given for its completion nor was there an indication that charges would be filed.
Prosecutors are waiting for a final report that will include the results of toxicology tests. Locklear was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Montecito on September 27. It is unusual for it to take this much time to review evidence and complete an investigation. If charges had been filed at the time of her arrest, Locklear would have had a first court date on October 27.
Alcohol was ruled out during Locklear's arrest though she was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance. The Santa Barbara District Attorney's Office has indicated that the results of drug tests will not be made public, unless the case goes to trial and the evidence is entered into the public record.

Heather Locklear Charged with California DUI
Heather Locklear DUI Information: Actress arrested for driving under the influence in Santa Barbara area.
Heather Locklear was charged with California DUI in Santa Barbara County Saturday afternoon. Locklear was reportedly arrested by the California Highway Patrol in Montecito after someone witnessed the actress driving erratically.
A Highway Patrol officer found Locklear's car stopped on a state highway, blocking one lane. In talking with her, the officer determined that she was operating a vehicle while impaired. Locklear was taken to a nearby police station where she was tested for alcohol and drugs. It is believed that Locklear was alone in the car at the time of the arrest. Locklear was booked around 7:00 pm on charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
Locklear, 47, checked into a medical clinic last June for treatment of anxiety and depression. She divorced rock guitarist Richie Sambora last year, after eleven years of marriage. They have an eleven year old daughter. Locklear is currently dating former 'Melsrose Place' co-star Jack Wagner.
