Scott Weiland In and Out of Jail for California DUI
Scott Weiland DUI: Rock singer spends 14 minutes in jail as penalty for drunk driving in LA.
Scott Weiland arrived at a Van Nuys jail at 8:55 Monday morning to begin an eight day sentence for driving under the influence in Los Angeles. He was officially booked shortly after noon and then checked into a prison cell at 6:41 pm. Fourteen minutes later he was released.
The frontman for the Stone Temple Pilots was charged with drunk driving in California following a minor accident on an LA freeway last November. In addition to the jail term, he was sentenced last April to four years of probation, fined two thousand dollars and ordered to complete an alcohol rehabilitation program.
As it was Weiland’s second conviction for DUI in four years, he could have been sentenced to one year in jail. He had just completed a three-year probation for the first drunk driving offense when he was arrested in November.
If you have been arrested for drunk driving in Van Nuys, California you will need to hire a Southern California DUI lawyer to represent you on your DUI charge in California.
