Khloe Kardashian DUI Jail SentenceKhloe Kardashian, the 24-year old sibling of Kim, is scheduled to begin a 30 day jail sentence for Driving Under the Influence in Los Angeles.

Khloe was charged with California DUI on March 4, 2007. She pleaded no-contest and was to sentenced to 36 months probation, required to complete community service with the California Department of Transportation and ordered to complete an alcohol-education program.

Khloe's attorney acknowledged in LA Superior Court that the member of the E! Online cable show 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' had not completed the alcohol program. The CalTrans community service requirement was dropped and she was sentenced to 30 days in jail. She must also re-enroll in the alcohol program within 21 days of her release from jail. She offered to go directly to Lynnwood County Jail, but that request was denied. Khloe was instead ordered to turn herself in on July 18.

In a statements issued by her mother, Kris Jenner, and her sister, Kim, they said that drinking and driving should be taken very seriously and that Khloe was "ready and willing to serve out her sentence".

Are you kidding me? Drunk driving is a serious offense, Kim. Not only could your sister hurt herself, think of the OTHER people out there that SHE could hurt. Here's the funny thing: all she had to do was follow the program that the court had set up for her...that's it. Then you she wouldn't have this problem. Too many times celebrities think they are above the law. If one of my children, for example, backs into someone's car in the driveway (they did that!), I'm going to forgive them. But they still have to accept responsibility for their actions. Step up and do the right thing, then you won't have this problem. She got a DUI. Ok, do what's required and move on. You can make all the excuses in the world, but the bottom line is "you do the crime, you have to do the time." Maybe this will teach her responsibility. Oh, and keep her away from Paris H. That would be a nightmare waiting to happen. Good luck to you, your sister and your whole family.

your right, the average joe would have gotten a second, third and probably fourth chance to enroll in the classes!

It seems to be the in thing now. You are not considered a celebrity if you have not had a DUI. We keep giving them the attention, especially all the publicity they get from the DUI.

This was just a sad symptom of a very dysfunctional and screwed up family. Everyone is completely enmeshed in everyone else's life in a completely unhealthy way. There are no boundaries of privacy, and lying and keeping secrets are a daily occurance. The adult women are infantalised and continue to be bratty children rather than growing up and being on their own. They are latched onto and fully dependent upon their mother as if they were 8 not in their 20s. These sad women need to get their own apartments, get real jobs and make lives for themselves. Hopefully, they will learn that showing off their overweight bodies posing for photographs is not a living unless you're a professional model, which these chubby girls are certainly not. They have achieved fame for no discernable reason--they have no talents, no skills, no education--they contribute nothing in the world. They do not hold jobs or earn a living, except in their "stores" that would not exist without the noteriety of the tv show. If any of them tried to get and hold a real job, they would quickly learn that there are rules and standards and that their behavior falls far far below what's acceptable in the normal world.

This happens every day to everyday people. It really was harsh for a first time, but I don't know about these messed up childhood comments. This family seems close to me.

DUI is a serious s crime wherever you go because you go into a state of mind that is not alert and you lose complete control. It becomes dangerous when being surrounded by people because anything can happen without realizing it. Is this understandable? In the State of Connecticut a DUI is an offense and the court charges you with murder. That is a new law that was passed out months ago. Is that crazy or what? If you drink home is the best place to do so or over a friend's house that is trustworthy and someone has to be sober to protect you if anything does happen. Does this make sense?
