David Cassidy Arrested For Felony DUI
David Cassidy, former teen star of “The Partridge Family”, was arrested and charged with felony DUI on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in New York. Cassidy was pulled over on a routine traffic stop after police saw him driving with his high beams on. When police initially confronted the former heartthrob, they detected an odor of alcohol on his breath and asked him to perform a field sobriety test.
After David Cassidy failed the field sobriety test, police administered a breathalyzer test that showed his blood alcohol content (BAC) level to be .10%, exceeding the states’ legal limit of .08%. Cassidy was charged with felony DUI because he had already been arrested for DUI in November 2010 while in Florida. In February 2011, Cassidy was given a year of probation and ordered to attend DUI school in addition to paying a $500 fine and serving 50 hours community service. David Cassidy was released following his recent arrest on a $2,500 bond and is set to appear in court on September 6, 2013.
